We worked on our web quest at home. There was no class today. Our assignment was to work on understanding WebQuest. WebQuest is a online learning tool that ask students questions and gives them websites where they can find the answer. It is usually done in a fun way by making the student a part of the story and taking them on an adventure. My was first about AutoCad. I wanted to teach students how to do some parts of AutoCad and make a finished product. I looked up a lot of information. The problem I had is that there were not many educational sites on the web I could use to form a story. Also I found many versions of AutoCAD. To make a long story short I was told by the teacher that some topics make better WebQuest than others. AutoCAD was not a good topic for a WebQuest.
Conclusion: WebQuest is one of those ideas you think is easy to understand until look at the definition of WebQuest and try to do one. I will change my WebQuest topic.
